What makes a Coachella floor different
Coachella is the eastern end of the valley and it is more working family homes and small business property than resort property. Budgets are real and so is the wear, which suits how we work: fix what is broken first, prepare it properly, then coat it once with something that lasts instead of doing it twice. A flake garage floor is the clearest example. It asks more of the slab up front than paint on bare concrete does, and it is still there and still wiping clean years later.

Garage Flooring Installation
Most Coachella garages are bare builder slabs that dust, stain and soak up oil. The concrete is ground with diamond tooling until it has a real profile, oil is pulled out, cracks and pits are filled, then color goes down, flake is broadcast into it wet and a clear top coat seals it in. The existing slab stays put: it is ground back, the cracks and flaking patches are repaired, then a textured decorative coating goes down and is sealed so it sheds water, grips underfoot and hoses clean. Cabinet Painting
A Coachella kitchen with solid boxes and tired doors does not need replacing. Doors and drawer fronts come off and get labeled, the grease is washed out of the grain, faces are sanded and sealed, and the finish is sprayed so there are no brush strokes in it. Do you come out to Coachella from La Quinta?
Regularly. It is a straight run east along Interstate 10 past Indio, and there is no travel charge to come out, look at the slab or the rooms, and give you a free estimate.
Is a flake garage floor worth it out here?
It is the job that pays for itself in a Coachella garage. Bare concrete dusts, stains and soaks up oil all year in this heat. A ground in flake floor sweeps clean, takes a hot tire and is still there years later.
Why does the concrete have to be ground first?
Because a finished slab is sealed and slick and a coating laid on top has nothing to hold. Grinding opens the surface and takes off old sealer and paint. On a hot Coachella slab it is the single biggest reason a floor lasts or fails.
Can you do just one garage, or one room?

How long does the whole thing take?
A single or double garage is usually two to three days: grinding and repairs, then color and flake, then the clear top coat, with drying time between each stage. Vehicles go back several days after the last coat.
